What type of research failures exists? How do undergraduates respond when they encounter research failures? How can we support adaptive responses to failure? In what ways can we help researchers develop resilience prior to failure? These are but a sample of the questions faculty and mentors must address as they lead undergraduate researchers through failure. Contributors from Confronting Failure, representing a diversity of disciplines, will be with us from 2-3 PM ET on November 1 to help us better understand and design practices that support students when confronting failure.
