After all, our community is our family here at CUR. We have taken a moment to interview each of our National Office Staff for you all to get to know them a little better.

Office Staff Spotlight: Heather Wakefield

Q: What is your full name, the name you wish to go by, and your organizational title at CUR?
A:
Heather Anne Wakefield and I go by Heather. My title is Senior Director of Program Strategy, Development, and Design.

Q: Where did you go to school?
A: I went to Texas A&M University.

Q: Do you prefer tea or coffee and why?
A: I prefer coffee because of all the blends, brewing methods, and drink options. I also love the smell of it and choose to start my day with a cup.

Q: Were you involved in undergraduate research when you were in school or elsewhere?
A: My dad was a professor in the life sciences so I spent time as a child accompanying him on field trips for undergraduate research programs and projects he ran. I also spent time in high school, college, and after college working in a biology lab and an engineering department assisting with research projects, programs, and coordinating the review of a scientific journal.
