The 5 W's of #VBC2020

CUR's first VIRTUAL Biennial Conference is just 5 weeks away. Kicking off with pre-conference workshops on June 28, 2020 with a variety of hot topics and transitioning into three days of consecutive, deep-dive sessions representing the sub-themes that coordinate with the overall outlook of VBC - Inclusivity in Research.
  • Assessment in UR - focusing on all types of assessment in UR on students, faculty, curriculum, and institutions.
  • Diversity and Inclusion in UR – focusing on offering UR to a wider audience of undergraduates, faculty, and institutions to increase the diversity of participants, particularly from underrepresented groups and institutions.
  • Integrating and Building UR into Curriculum and Coursework - focusing on building a curriculum that is both research-based and supports UR as an outcome of the curriculum
  • New Models and Settings for UR - focusing on expanding undergraduate research opportunities between higher education institutions, including community colleges and international institutions and beyond academic institutions to research collaborations with business and non-profit organizations.
Whether you have been to a Biennial in the past or are new this year, the topics, sessions, community, and overall experience will thrill you to delight and inspire you to reach new levels within the UR community and experiences. The CUR Biennial Conference is the primary provider of professional development for faculty, mentors, and administrative practitioners focused solely on Undergraduate Research. While we hope we can safely all be together again soon, the need to continue to support this community and the important work you do to promote, support, and provide UR opportunities, has not stopped.

We hope this short video explains a little more about the 'who, what, where, when, and why' you should all be going to #VBC2020. Hope to see you in June!

(P.S. Don't forget to register!)
